Privacy Policy

FitTrackr is used by trainers and by clients who accept a trainer invite. This draft covers both roles. If you use the mobile app or the web dashboard, the same account and data practices apply.

Account information: email address, display name, and optional profile photo. Sign-in is handled by Clerk.

Coaching data you or your trainer enter: daily logs (weight, steps, mood, notes, and optional photos), progress photos, body-composition measurements, goals, and onboarding answers.

Health data: if you connect Apple Health or HealthKit on iOS, FitTrackr reads steps only. Steps are used to auto-fill your daily log. FitTrackr does not request other HealthKit types such as heart rate, workouts, or sleep.

Messages you send to your trainer or client, including any photos or log context attached to a thread.

Device and app signals needed to operate the service, such as push-notification tokens, app version, and basic device model when you submit in-app feedback.

To run daily accountability: show who logged, who is overdue, streaks, and rolling compliance scores.

To let your assigned trainer review logs, photos, measurements, and messages so they can coach you.

To generate progress reports and share links that you or your trainer choose to create.

To send reminders and optional push notifications you configure in settings.

To operate billing for trainer subscriptions when that feature is enabled.

To investigate abuse, fix bugs, and respond when you contact support.

You can see your own account, logs, photos, and messages.

Your currently assigned trainer can see the client data needed to coach you, including daily logs, steps (including HealthKit-filled steps), progress photos, measurements, and the message thread.

FitTrackr operators may access account data to provide support or keep the service running. In-app feedback tickets sent to GitHub do not include your email or display name.

We do not sell personal information. Service providers that host the product (for example Convex for the database, Clerk for authentication, and Apple or Google for app distribution) process data only to provide those services.

Account and coaching data are kept while your account is active so you and your trainer have a continuous history.

If you request account deletion from Account settings, FitTrackr schedules deletion and gives you 7 days to cancel. After that window, your Clerk sign-in identity is deleted and your personal identifiers are removed from the live product.

If you are a trainer, deletion ends every coaching relationship and anonymises your trainer profile. It does not delete your clients' health records (daily logs, steps, measurements, messages, or progress reports). Those records stay with the client until that client deletes their own account.

If you are a client, deletion removes your own coaching and health records from the live product.

Data export files, when generated, are deleted after a 7-day download window (or sooner if you delete your account).

You can update profile and notification settings in the app.

You can disconnect HealthKit from iOS settings. FitTrackr will stop reading new steps; previously logged step values remain in daily logs until you delete your account or edit those logs.

You can request an export of your logs and progress from Account settings.

FitTrackr is intended for adults using a coaching relationship. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
